Assisi House was founded in 2014 by a dedicated group of volunteers involved in St. Louis Winter Outreach. What was meant to be a one-time, winter-long shelter turned into a volunteer-led organization providing affordable housing for unhoused individuals in the St. Louis region. 

 

Assisi House now operates five homes across the City of St. Louis, housing a total of 60 residents in small, communal settings of 10-12 individuals. Residents pay an affordable rent & receive accompaniment and support from our staff and volunteers to address their self-identified goals.
